    Sarah established the network in July 2015 and has significant expertise and experience of leading and embedding change. Previously, she worked for many years as a senior manager in the NIHR Clinical Research Networks, but also had a stint as R&D Manager of the North West’s largest hospital. Prior to this, she was a research scientist in London working in molecular genetics.

    Presentation Title: Transforming stroke services in Greater Manchester – what’s the magic?

    Greater Manchester has been on a long journey to improve its stroke services, which are now the best rated in the country. Following successful re-organisation of inpatient stroke care to a centralised model, the region is now leading an ambitious agenda to transform its community rehabilitation services, ensuring stroke survivors continue to receive both equitable and high quality care when they leave hospital. Underpinning this work has been managed networks, who have facilitated a collaborative approach to change that has ensured the patient voice has been heard throughout.
